Robert K.R. Worthington, U.S. Naval officer, was born on March 25, 1915, in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1938. He graduated first in his class from Submarine School in New London, CT. During World War II, he served on the Silversides that sunk over 10,000 tons of enemy shipping.
